Two construction projects that have been causing traffic delays on Route 61 in Schuylkill County since 2014 are almost completed.
The Schuylkill Haven widening and reconstructing project, which has cost more than 8-million dollars, is wrapping up with an expected completion date in early September and with that project out of the way, PENNDOT expects to alleviate a lot of the traffic build-up.
However, construction on bridges in the city of Pottsville and Palo Alto, which have cost more than 10-million, are going to take a little longer to complete, with an expected end date in November.
