Heavy rains moved through northern Schuylkill County Sunday, causing flash flooding issues again for areas of Frackville and Gilberton.
According to Skook News, Route 61 was closed for a period of time when heavy rain caused some flooding at the intersection of Route 61 (South Lehigh Street) and Spruce Street.
State Police and Frackville Police were dispatched for traffic control while the waters receded.
And PennDOT crews eventually arrived to clear the drains in the area.
More flooding is likely today as heavy rain continues thru ought Schuylkill County.
