Police in Schuylkill County are partnering with the U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to get drunk drivers off the roads and help save lives for the 2019 Labor Day holiday.

Local law enforcement said they will show zero tolerance for drunk driving.

Drivers are urged to download NHTSA’s SaferRide mobile app, available on both Google Play for Android devices and the iTunes Store for IOS devices.

Citizens are also urged to call 911 if they see a drunk driver.

The high-visibility national enforcement campaign, Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over, begins Wednesday and will run through Sept. 2.
