A Virginia man is in custody after an attempted child luring that happened over the weekend, in Girardville.
According to Girardville Police, the incident occurred around 8:20pm Saturday evening when 46 year old Richard Scott Carver attempted to lure an 8 year old boy into his vehicle near William and Oak Streets in the borough.
Carver was located, positively identified by the victim and taken into custody where it was learned he had an active arrest warrant out of Prince William County, VA for obscene material.
He was arraigned by on-call Magisterial District Judge James Ferrier and committed to Schuylkill County Prison in lieu of $20,000.00 cash bail.
