A woman crashed her SUV into the home of the Schuylkill County Sheriff, Monday evening.
The incident occurred around 9:45pm, an unidentified woman travelling West on Walnut Street in Ashland came to the intersection of 23rd and Walnut Street, failed to stop at a stop sign, crossed through one yard, then crashed into the home of Schuylkill County Sheriff Joseph Groody.
After crashing, the woman exited the vehicle, fled the scene and was later captured in the nearby Gitman and Company parking lot.
The woman was taken via ambulance to the hospital for further testing.
The Groody family was home at the time, but no one was injured.
The incident is still under investigation.
