A detour that remains in effect in Tamaqua on Spruce Street between South Railroad and South Center streets for resurfacing of the roadway has been an inconvenience to drivers thru the area.
The project is being funded through a cost-sharing arrangement between the borough and Blue Mountain, Northern and Reading Railroad and according to workers at the site; the job might be finished by today depending on weather and other variables.
