A Kulpmont man was seriously injured in a crash on Interstate 81 Thursday morning in Schuylkill County.
According to Frackville State Police, the crash occurred around 5:40am, Thursday, on Interstate 81 in the Southbound lanes near milemarker 110.
Police say a vehicle driven by 33 year old Peter Kulik III, crashed into the rear of a tractor trailer driven by 34 year old David Tucker, of Edwardsville.
Kulik's vehicle wedged underneath the tractor trailer as it traveled and eventually stopped on the side of the road. Kulik's vehicle was reported to be severely damaged but authorities say he was able to climb out of the crushed vehicle.
Tucker was uninjured in the crash. Kulik was taken to the hospital for serious injuries. He was reported to have not been wearing a seat belt.
