Construction and demolition waste was illegally dumped in several Pennsylvania counties, including a spot in Kline Township, Schuylkill County, by a Bangor-based hauling company.
According to the Republican Herald, court records state that MS Recycling LLC and its owner, 45 year old Michael L. Stine, of Gravel Hill Road, Bangor, were charged with five felony counts of criminal mischief and 11 misdemeanor counts of unlawful conduct, each by the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General.
The criminal investigation began in August 2014, based on a referral from the state Department of Environmental Protection, alleging that MS Recycling and Stine dumped several tractor-trailer loads of construction and demolition waste in Schuylkill, Carbon, Lackawanna and Northampton counties from December 2013 through August 2014.
Stine was arraigned Aug. 17 and released on $5,000 unsecured bail.
