A 30-year-old man was killed Sunday evening in a crash along Interstate 81 in Ryan Township.
According to authorities, the crash occurred just after 6 p.m. as the driver was traveling south near the 125 mile marker just north of Frackville.
Police said the vehicle entered the left berm striking a set of guardrails continuing on between the rails and the tree line in a brush area. The vehicle came to rest on its wheels, with the driver being ejected.
The unidentified victim was treated at the scene before being flown to a trauma center.
State police at Frackville are investigating the incident.
