On Monday, Ashland Borough Police charged Ashley Leibig, of Ashland, with felony counts of homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence, after an investigation into a crash that killed an elderly man in December of 2015.
Ashland Police say Leibig was driving a vehicle that struck and killed 85 year old Walter Bogus of Shamokin as he crossed the street at the intersection of 19th & Centre Streets.
Leibig was taken for chemical testing which yielded a positive result for the presence of marijuana in her system.
She was arraigned Monday afternoon by Magisterial District Judge Christina Hale, Frackville and committed to Schuylkill County Prison in lieu of $150,000 Straight Cash Bail.
