The body of a missing Lansford teen was discovered late Tuesday.
According to officials, 17 year old Cassidy Derr was reported missing after she left a party early Sunday morning. Her body was found in a wooded area off old Route 209 in Schuylkill Township.
According to reports Derr had attended a party in a secluded area between Tuscarora and Brockton late Saturday night and after an argument, left the party on her own.
When Derr made last contact with friends she reportedly told them that she was lost somewhere along Route 209 and heading towards Tamaqua.
Derr was also reported to be a Type 1 Diabetic and had an insulin pump, but it was not known how much insulin she had when she left for the party.
The Pennsylvania State Police are at the scene investigating and the body is to be taken to the Simon Kramer Institute, New Philadelphia for examination.
