Penn State football fans are most likely counting down the days until the team's home opener against Kent State on Saturday, but if you're one of the thousands of people heading out to Beaver Stadium to catch the game in person, you may want to get there early.
There are some new security guidelines at Beaver Stadium. People attending the game will now have to empty their pockets so they can be inspected by a metal detector wand, which is common in many places, but new to Penn State.
This is not the first time the University has beefed up security at Beaver Stadium. In 2013, the school implemented a policy banning most bags from the stadium.
Penn State's home opener is at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday at Beaver Stadium and we’ll have live coverage on T102/FM and WPPA/AM.
