The identity has been released of a 25-year-old Hazleton woman, who died in a two-vehicle crash, Tuesday, in Hazle Township.
Hazleton State police identified the victim as Marleny Caba Guzman. The crash occurred around 3:12 p.m., at the intersection of intersection of Route 924 and the Interstate 81 northbound on-ramp, when she failed to stop at a red light and struck the front passenger side of a 2018 Freightliner driven by 62 year old Ronnie Lee Speegle, of Tyrone, Georgia.
Police said a passenger with Guzman was also injured in the crash. Neither Guzman nor her passenger were wearing seat belts.
Speegle and a passenger, Brian Lee Speegle, of Griffin, Georgia, were wearing seat belts and were uninjured.
