With Halloween and the upcoming release of a new "It" film based on Stephen King's horror story about a clown, state police are hoping to head off creepy clown sightings that fueled panic around the country last fall.
State police say more than a dozen people were arrested last year for either taking part in menacing clown stunts or making false reports.
State police Wednesday issued a bulletin about creepy clowns, advising people to report suspicious activity by calling the toll-free terrorism line at 888-292-1919, or email tips@pa.gov.
