Gov. Tom Wolf joined state Department of Transportation Secretary Leslie S. Richards and other officials this week to highlight the progress of the Resurface PA Initiative.
According to the Republican Herald, Resurface PA is an aggressive campaign to accelerate repaving interstate highways and attacking potholes across the 40,000 miles of PennDOT-maintained roads, the nation’s fifth largest such system.
The program calls for an additional $7 million investment in seven interstate maintenance projects covering potholes and other repairs on 78 miles of roads, in Luzerne and Schuylkill Counties, this year.
