State Attorney General Kathleen G. Kane’s fate will be decided by a jury of six men and six women who will begin hearing testimony this morning in Montgomery County Court.
The Republican Herald reports that prosecutors and Kane’s defense team spent approximately eight hours Monday selecting the panel of 12 jurors, plus four alternates.
Kane is charged with allegedly leaking documents from a 2009 grand jury investigation to a Philadelphia newspaper in 2014, then lying about her actions to a grand jury investigating the leak.
Prosecutors and the defense listed roughly 60 potential witnesses who may be called to testify, with the trial expected to conclude Friday.
