Drug bust...




Five people were taken into custody during a drug bust in Tamaqua on Monday.

According to Skook News, Tamaqua Police said a "controlled buy" was conducted at 33 North Railroad Street where 54 year old John Filer sold heroin. 

A search warrant was then executed at the address where Filer was taken into custody and various amounts of drugs, paraphernalia, and cash were located. Filer was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Stephen Bayer and committed to Schuylkill County Prison on 2 $50,000 cash bail amounts. 

During the search warrant, members of the Schuylkill County Drug Task Force and Office of the Attorney General took Carly Jo and Tory Fairchild, both of Lehighton and Joseph Kulha and Hailey Covine into custody. 

All four were arraigned and locked up on various drug charges.
