A Pine Grove man was locked up on charges after he assaulting a State Trooper in Girardville on Tuesday.
According to Skook News, State Police in Frackville responded to the 300 Block of West Mahanoy Avenue for a disturbance involving 43 year old John Frantz. T
roopers said Frantz was highly intoxicated and became combative before assaulting one trooper and attempting to strike another. F
rantz was taken into custody, arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Christina Hale and locked up in Schuylkill County Prison unable to post bail.
