The Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union (PSECU) is alerting its customers about a text scam that is using the financial institutions name.
On Monday, customers received a text that appears to be from PSECU, however, they are warning customers that the message is not from the credit union.
PSECU issued a statement later Monday, notifying customers that they have been made aware of the text and telephone scam and are urging customers who may have responded to the text and shared their information, to call 800.237.7328 to speak with a Member Service Representative.
PSECU said the text and phone messages that are being delivered ask recipients to call an 844 or 855 area code and are asked to provide personal and financial information.
