Rocks thrown from over-passes...

State Police are investigating at least three instances of vehicles being hit by objects thrown off highway overpasses in Berks County.

The incidents happened early Saturday and Sunday mornings in Upper Bern and Upper Tulpehocken townships.

Authorities said a tractor trailer was hit by an unknown object thrown from the overpass at the Shartlesville interchange (Exit 23) in Upper Bern Township around 3 a.m. Saturday.

About the same time Sunday morning, rocks thrown from the Power Drive overpass struck two vehicles on I-78 in Upper Tulpehocken Township.

State police reported that the rocks that landed on the highway in Upper Tulpehocken were big enough to damage one of the car's undercarriages.

No one was injured in either incident.

Anyone with information about the incidents can contact Crime Alert Berks County by calling 877-373-9913. A cash reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest.
