Coaldale’s Angela Triplex Theatre will be screening a documentary, this Sunday, about the Anthracite region’s most infamous town.
The documentary, titled, “Centralia: Pennsylvania’s Lost Town” tells the story of the underground mine fire that forced more than 2,000 people to abandon their homes in the 1980s and ’90s.
The movie was produced by Philadelphia-area filmmaker Joe Sapienza II.
The screening also benefits a veterans’ group once based in Centralia. A portion of the sales will go to the Centralia Legion Post 608 in Wilburton.
The screening is scheduled for Sunday at 6 p.m.
