Judge rules; no more jail time...

A McAdoo man will not have to spend more time behind bars after admitted Wednesday to a Schuylkill County judge that he threw sulfuric acid at his girlfriend in August 2016 in Kline Township, an incident that led to the discovery of an alleged methamphetamine laboratory.

According to the Republican Herald, Kline Township police charged 49 year old Gerald R. Fisher Jr., with throwing sulfuric acid on 49 year old Lorraine Searfoss while they were arguing on Aug. 15, 2016.

Police said that while they were investigating the incident, they found items in and around the house that also could be found in meth labs.

Judge Cyrus Palmer Dolbin accepted the plea and sentenced Fisher to time served to 12 months in prison and granted him immediate parole.

Fisher and Searfoss each face charges of operating a methamphetamine lab.
