Twenty Mahanoy Area Elementary School fourth-graders will be part of the Sunday edition of The New York Times as part of a series featuring students around the country.
According to the Republican Herald, the section, called The New York Times for Kids, has featured elementary students from schools around the country on a monthly basis, with Mahanoy Area being this month’s featured school.
The special section focuses on children 8 to 14 years old discussing the difference between news writing and opinion writing.
The Sunday edition with the Kids section will be available with more than 1 million subscriber and newsstand copies. It is print-only, so it is not available online.
