A two-alarm fire, Thursday, left several people homeless in Northumberland County.
Authorities say the fire began in the third story of a half-double residence located at 716 E. Dewart St. in the Bunker Hill section of Shamokin.
The blaze took fire crews several hours to extinguish.
The alarm came in at 6:38 p.m. and within minutes officials said the upstairs of the home was already fully engulfed in flames.
Firefighters attacked the blaze from the rear and rooftop of the building and also through the adjoining structure at 718 E. Dewart St.
No word yet on what started the fire and no injuries were reported.
