Bath salt charges...
by News Department on 06/11/15The Ashland Police Department in conjunction with the Schuylkill County Drug Task force seized bath salts and other drug paraphernalia from the residence of Rita Cavanaugh at 1233 Centre St.
A search warrant was issued after an ongoing investigation uncovered drugs were being distributed from the residence. Police also found suspect Mike Valeno at the scene.
As a result of the warrant, police discovered 180 grams of bath salts, which has an estimated street value of $18,000, $1700 in cash, a .22 caliber rifle along with other paraphernalia.
Authorities said the investigation is still underway and more arrests are expected.
