D 24 LL Cressona 11, Orwigsburg 6

Ryan Caulfield homered, doubled and drove in 5 runs to lead Cressona to an 11-6 win over Orwigsburg in District 24 Little League action Friday afternoon at Orwigsburg.
In a game heard on AM 1360 WPPA and wpparadio.com that was suspended by rain after one batter in the top of the second inning Thursday, Cressona put up 4-run innings in the 3rd and 4th frames for the win.
Orwigsburg scored 1st in the 1st inning. Anthony Zeppelin walked, Billy Gerlott doubled, Alex Tidmore walked and Devin Hashin walked in Zeppelin to make it 1-0.
Cressona got their first run in the 2nd. Luke Baker singled, Gavin Bartholomew walked, and Skyler Devitt got an RBI on a fielder's choice to make it 1-1.
Cressona took the lead for good in the 3rd. Keegan Brennan reached on a bunt single, Keenan Cryts was hit by the pitch, and Brody Robinson doubled in Brennan to make it 2-1. Caulfield then stroked a 3-run home run to make it 5-1.
Orwigsburg got a run back in their half of the 3rd. Preston Sincavage singled, and took 2B on the throw in. Gerlott singled, sending Sincavage to 3B. Devitt stole 2B, and the throw went into the outfield, allowing Sincavave to score to make it 5-2.
In the 4th, Cressosa put the game away with another 4-run inning. Cody Miller, Keegan Hertz and Brennan all walked, Cryts singled, and drove in Miller and Hertz to make it 7-2. Caulfield then stroked a 2-run single, driving in Brennan and Cryts to make it 9-2.
Orwigsburg made the game interesting with a 4-run inning of their own in their half of the 4th.
Grady Bedway reached on a fielder's choice, Lorenzo Valenti walked, Zeppelin was awarded 1st base on catcher's interference, and Sincavage walked to drive in Bedway. Gerlott walked to drive in Valenti. Tidmore singled to drive in Zeppelin, and Hashin walked to drive in Sincavage to make the tally 9-6.
Cressona scored last with 2 runs in the 6th. Cryts and Caulfield walked, Baker was hit by the pitch, and Bartholomew doubled them in to make the final score 11-6.
Orwigsburg will play SPN Saturday at 5:30. That game will be heard on AM 1360 WPPA and wpparadio.com.
Cressona will play Pine Grove, who defeated Frackville 16-3 Friday.
