Near drowning...
by News Department on 06/18/15A boy was rescued Wednesday, after nearly drowning in a public pool.
Police say they responded just after 2:30 p.m., and found life guards and other personnel providing aid to the 8-year-old boy, who was swimming at the Lansford Community Pool.
Officers say the child was transported to a local hospital, in Coaldale, and then flown to Lehigh Valley Hospital/Cedar Crest.
Police issued a release Wednesday night, saying the victim was "reported to be doing well" at that point.
