by News Department on 06/12/15The Pottsville Business Association has decided to remain an independent organization and on Thursday started the process of forming a stronger board of directors.
PBA President Mary Anne Woodward said the unanimous vote was to have PBA remain an independent organization and to try to get more people involved.
The PBA has been struggling to get more of its members to monthly meetings and its administrators have expressed concerns about its income.
Since January, its members have been debating whether or not to merge with the nonprofit group that it contracts for management services, the Pottsville Area Development Corp.
