Pottsville fireworks rescheduled...
by News Department on 06/26/15The threat of rain this weekend has forced the city to reschedule the fireworks display which was slated for Saturday night.
According to the Republican Herald, City Administrator Thomas A. Palamar said the fireworks are being moved to Friday, July 17, with a rain date of Saturday, July 18.
Palamar also said the Independence Parade the Pottsville Positive Committee scheduled for noon Saturday has been canceled and will not be rescheduled.
There will also be some changes to the schedule for the Celebration at the Station slated from noon to 10 p.m. at Union Station Saturday, but train rides will still take place.
