Property owner flees to Canada...
by News Department on 07/07/15Demolition of a three-story row home, that began last month in Minersville, is almost complete, costing the borough over $39,000, after the property owner fled to Canada, leaving the Minersville property and 4 others for the county to deal with.
Minersville police have had three warrants for Said Attalla since 2011 for not cutting grass, failure to conduct property maintenance and a nuisance property for 46-48 Westwood St.
Blight issues included the back of the building falling, unstable walking areas and rodents running around.
Minersville police Chief Michael Combs said multiple letters and citations were sent to Attalla by Minersville police, however, they have yet to receive a response.
