Police are currently investigating an assault that occurred over the weekend at an ATV Park.
According to Skook News, State Police at Schuylkill Haven said a 53 year old Ephrata woman was assaulted while staying at the Rausch Creek Trailer Riders, in Hegins Township.
Police say camp staff found the victim in a Dodge Ram truck lying in the passenger's seat at one of the camp’s sites.
The victim had severe head and neck trauma and was bleeding heavily.
She was flown to Hershey Medical Center where staff found that the woman suffered stab wounds and said some of her injuries were consistent with being strangled.
She was listed in critical condition. Police have not released the identity of the victim or suspect.
