A blighted property has become a danger in Girardville and borough leaders fear Saturday's snowfall could cause the building to collapse.
The 200 Block of 2nd Street has been closed since Friday by borough officials for fear it may collapse into the street.
The borough of Girardville is taking criminal action against the homeowner. And it's not the first time it's happening on this street. The borough did the same concerning a house next door that was recently demolished.
The owner of the building is expected to make a payment to the borough today for demolition.
