Fire damages 3 homes...

A fire on Wednesday morning, in Shenandoah, has been ruled accidental.

Emergency personnel responded, just after 9am, to a fully involved structure fire in the 200 Block of West Centre Street and found flames shooting from the front of the home on arrival.

The fire was quickly upgraded to a 2nd alarm, calling in additional units from Frackville and Mahanoy City.

The fire started at 228 West Centre Street and spread to the adjacent homes at 226 and 230.

228 was reported to have suffered major damage while 226 and 230 suffered minor smoke and water damage.

One resident was reported to have suffered minor burns in the fire and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

State Police Fire Marshal Joseph Hall was at the scene to investigate a cause Wednesday afternoon and ruled the fire as accidental, stating that the fire's origin was a supplemental propane heating source.
