A Schuylkill County man will spend much of the rest of his life behind state prison bars for murdering his father on Father’s Day, in 2017 at his Ryan Township home.
According to the Republican Herald, State police at Frackville charged 38 year old Michael Marchalk, of Barnesville, with fatally beating Gary Marchalk, a former assistant district attorney on June 18, 2017, with an aluminum baseball bat in his bedroom.
President Judge William E. Baldwin ruled that Marchalk, must serve 24 1/2 to 49 years in a state correctional institution for killing his father, along with three related crimes.
