The coroner was called to the scene of a shooting in Northumberland County Wednesday night.
Neighbors reported hearing a gunshot near the 900 block of West Pine Street, in Coal Township, at 9:06 p.m.
Officers were performing CPR on the male victim in a wooded area off of Oak Street between Gowen and Spruce streets.
Witnesses reported seeing two males running from the scene, and believed one of them had a gun.
One person of interest was taken into custody by police and the investigation is ongoing.
