Chief U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Robert N. Opel II said he will approve the auction sale of Schuylkill Mall to NorthPoint Development LLC, of Missouri.
According to attorney, and trustee, William G. Schwab, the judge will enter the order approving the sale within two days.
Schwab conducted Tuesday’s auction sale of the mall for $2.1 million, pending the federal bankruptcy judge’s approval.
Schwab said closing on the 110-acre property, located at Route 61 and Interstate 81 in Blythe, New Castle and Ryan townships. is scheduled for Feb. 24.
