A boil water advisory is in effect for all Minersville Municipal Authority customers after a water main break on the Pottsville/Minersville Highway about 5 p.m. Wednesday.
Customers should not drink tap water without boiling it first.
Some areas of the system may experience low pressure and discolored water.
The authority was working to repair the problem. Samples will be taken to make sure the water is safe to drink before the advisory is lifted and customers will be notified.
