D.G. Yuengling & Son Inc. and the Schuylkill Economic Development Corp. were each awarded $1 million in grant funds from the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program.
According to the Republican Herald, D.G. Yuengling & Son Inc. will use the money for a historical museum showcasing more than 185 years of brewing history, an enhanced tour route, additional parking and a community event space.
SEDCO will use the funds for construction and related soft costs associated with building a 117,000-square-foot industrial flex building at the Highridge Business Park.
The funds come from the state’s Office of the Budget.
Each recipient must match funds for the project.
