The investigation is ongoing into a crash, Thursday afternoon that left a 4 year old child with life-threatening injuries, and injured three others.
The accident occurred at12:15 p.m.at the intersection of Route 61 and Terry Rich Boulevard, the entrance to the Coal Creek Plaza as a Nissan minivan attempting to make a left turn from Route 61 south
was struck on the passenger’s side by a northbound Ford F-150.
Authorities said the driver and female passenger in the minivan were both transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. A 4-year-old boy inside that vehicle was flown to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, Allentown, with life-threatening injuries. There is no word yet on his condition.
The female driver of the pickup truck was also transported to a Pottsville hospital for treatment.
Police said the identities of those involved in the crash are not being released pending the ongoing investigation and notification of family members and are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to call Saint Clair police at 570-429-3050.
