Shenandoah man killed...




A Shenandoah man died over the weekend after being struck by a vehicle near St. Clair. 

According to Skook News, 52 year old Edward Whalen was walking along Route 61, around 11:00pm Friday night, near St. Clair when he was struck by a passing vehicle.

 Whalen was taken to an area hospital where he later died. The incident was ruled accidental. 

Saint Clair police said no information would be available on the crash until today, however, initial reports indicated that Whalen was walking north in the northbound lanes of travel attempting to cross into the southbound lanes and was struck by the vehicle. 

The identity of the driver has not been released.
