An auction date for the Schuylkill Mall has been scheduled for later in January. According to the Republican Herald, an auction for the Schuylkill Mall has been scheduled at the office of William G. Schwab, who is serving as the trustee in bankruptcy in the case and will conduct the auction, in Lehighton.
The owner of the mall, Empire Schuylkill LP, filed for bankruptcy in October 2016.
Anyone interested in submitted a bid but do so by January 17th, 2017 at 5:00pm.
Schwab will determine whether a bidder is qualified and only qualified bidders will be entitled to participate in the auction which is scheduled for January 24th, 2017 at 10:00am.
Chief U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Robert N. Opel II will hold a sale hearing at 9:30 a.m. Jan. 25 in Wilkes-Barre.
