At least three vehicles were involved in a crash that claimed the life of an 80-year-old Pottsville man, Thursday night.
According to authorities, the crash occurred at 8:14 p.m. near the intersection of East Union Street on South Claude A. Lord Boulevard, Route 61, in Pottsville.
City Police Chief Richard F. Wojciechowsky said the man’s name was being withheld pending notification of the family.
A male operating one of the other vehicles was also transported from the scene with serious injuries. Emergency personnel were called to the 3 vehicle motor vehicle accident with entrapment, around 8:15 pm.
State police at Schuylkill Haven are assisting with the accident reconstruction, as the investigation into what caused the deadly crash continues.
