38 year old Ernest A. Rosemond, of Pottsville, was convicted Monday, in Schuylkill County Court of bringing methamphetamines into the county prison in May.
Pottsville police had charged Rosemond with possessing meth on May 13 as he was being processed for admission to the county prison.
Rosemond, faces a mandatory minimum two-year term in a state correctional institution for the contraband conviction.
Judge Jacqueline L. Russell, who presided over Rosemond’s one-day trial, said she would schedule sentencing at a future date.
