Hazleton’s police chief says patrols have been stepped up after a possible attempted abduction.
A woman told investigators a man wearing an orange face mask approached her and asked if her baby was a boy or a girl.
Authorities say the incident happened Sunday night near the intersection of Broad and Wyoming streets.
According to police, the man grabbed the stroller, but the woman screamed so he let go of and ran off.
Both the mother and child are okay. Authorities are asking anyone with information to call Hazleton police.
