A Schuylkill County jury decided on Tuesday that Kayla M. Leibowitz, who police alleged supplied a fatal dose of fentanyl to George Dougherty, of Coaldale, in March 2017, is not guilty of that charge, but guilty of eight others.

The jury acquitted her of drug delivery resulting in death.

However, the same jury found Leibowitz, formerly of Coaldale, guilty of several other drug related charges in that case.

In a second case, the same jury found Leibowitz guilty of four counts of possession of a controlled substance and one of possession of drug paraphernalia.

President Judge William E. Baldwin, who presided over Leibowitz’s two-day trial, said he would schedule sentencing at a later date and allowed the defendant to remain free on $25,000 straight cash bail pending sentencing.
