An Auburn man was committed to Schuylkill County Prison in lieu of $250,000 straight cash bail after state police in Schuylkill Haven charged him with aggravated assault and related charges Saturday.
According to the Republican Herald, 35 year old Jason Markowicz, and a 35-year-old woman from Auburn were involved in a verbal dispute inside a West Brunswick Township residence from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. when Markowicz grabbed a handgun and fired two shots from the firearm at the front and back tire of the vehicle so the victim couldn’t drive away.
Markowicz was taken into custody and arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Stephen J. Bayer, Tamaqua.
