24 year old Tyler J. Swantek, of Mahanoy City, is headed to Schuylkill County Court after waiving his right to a preliminary hearing Monday on charges stemming from the alleged shooting death of his father this year in their former Frackville home.
Frackville borough police charged Swantek who is formerly of Frackville, with killing 49 year old Todd J. Swantek, of Frackville, by shooting him in the head with a high-powered pellet gun between April 1 and May 24 at 443 N. Third St. in the borough.
Tyler Swantek faces charges of criminal homicide, first-degree murder and third-degree murder, along with numerous other counts.
He is being held without bail pending further court proceedings.
