Officials said Tuesday that an expansion of Hydro Extrusion USA LLC will create new jobs in our area.
According to the Republican Herald, the construction of the 96,000-square-foot building will house a 5,050-ton direct extrusion press.
The state Department of Community and Economic Development provided funds for the project. The company has five years to create the new full-time jobs.
Jill Collier, deputy director of operations with the Governor’s Action Team, said money is not provided until jobs are created.
At the end of the five years, if the company didn’t create all the jobs, it must repay some funds.
