A Jonestown man died and a woman from Pottsville was flown to a hospital after an early afternoon crash, Monday, on Route 183, in Wayne Township.
State police Trooper Robert Oakley said the crash occurred at 2:33 p.m. as 61 year old Debra D. Young, of Pottsville, was driving northbound and appeard to have failed to make a right curve in the road.
The vehicle crossed into the southbound lane and hit the vehicle of 58 year old Stephen A. Batdorf, head on.
Police said Batdorf was pronounced dead at the scene.
Young was flown to Reading Hospital. There is no word on her condition.
