27 year old Shawn Christy, of McAdoo, who led law enforcement on a multi-month, multi-state manhunt this summer, was formally charged with crimes police say he committed while on the run.
According to the Republican Herald, Christy was arraigned on three criminal cases filed against him by state police at Hazleton for crimes that happened in July, August and September in Carbon County.
Magisterial District Judge Joseph Homanko, Weatherly, set his bail at a combined $750,000 during his Oct. 30 arraignment, which he attended via video from Lackawanna County Prison.
Christy refused the right to a public defender during the proceedings, stating he wished to defend himself.
Preliminary hearings on all three cases have been set for Dec. 5 before Homanko.
